IndieYoga® is modeled after a concept that Gandhi wholeheartedly believed was a very important step in building a strong foundation, called Swaraj.
Swaraj means “independence” or “self-rule” – essentially: non-hierarchical self governance through individual yoga businesses who have strong ties to their communities.
IndieYoga is an independent marketplace resource for yoga products, connecting practitioners w/ the creative yogis that make yoga unique & accessible.
We actively promote and engage global yoga populations who are patrons of Independent vendors.
Our yoga world is made up of small businesses that come together in a community oriented way. Immediate local businesses are popping up and thriving all over the world. Yogis don’t want the same corporate branded apparel. Yogis value living by principles that encourage a personal revolution and courage, and many yogis feel the push to take that leap to make it on their own.
We are the independent yogis who are actively working together to change the paradigm from corporate detachment to independent supported yogis who practice and support each other.
